They were really all kinds of amazing and everything I'd hoped they'd be live considering that I've been a fan for so long. Sure, other bands have given me an adrenaline rush when I've seen them live but I thought I'd got immune to feeling the way I did over the Kaisers last night. They were unbelievably good.
They've boasted a lot about their new material. I chose to refrain from listening to the youtubed versions of the songs and waited to hear them in person. 'Never Miss A Beat' is phenomenal. I can't wait until I own that little baby in the form of a CD/vinyl record.
We Are Scientists deserve a shout out for being an ace support act.
Here's hoping I get to see The Chiefs again soon.
Do you tend to like music in particular genres, or are your tastes all over the place? What are your most and least favorite musical genres?
I basically tend to like anything with 'oomph' and a guitar. Primarily I'd say I enjoy hard rock, but I listen to indie and metal as well. My tastes have diversified slightly as I've got older. My least fave genre is reality star pop music I guess, the kind of stuff that's always doing well over here.
I think I just made my own genre up. Never mind.
Today I ordered my dream Blythe girl Rosie Red Encore. I feel guilty as I've spent far too much money lately, but so be it. She's not your average dream girl either when it comes to Blythe collecting... but I've always found her incredibly beautiful. She was one of the first Blythes I ever wanted.
Procrastinating over a re-root at the moment. I procrastinate over everything, but this girl is very special. I want to get it right.
In other news we're having the house rewired right now. It's chaotic. It scares me how much we rely on electricity and that humans don't seem to be able to cope for very long without it. I've got to cope with noise, darkness and two angry dogs who dislike each and every work man who comes here. It'll be so nice when it's done!
Etsy is a must for those of you who love being unique as much as I do. I received this gorgeous package of clothes I ordered for my Blythes this morning and simply had to take a photo of how much effort the seller had made into making it special for me. The photo doesn't do it justice, these clothes look so cute on their little clothesline! I can't wait to see how my girls look.
When I buy from etsy I feel as if I ooze with good karma and happiness. I love supporting talented people who make beautiful handmade objects. I love the reasonable prices and the excellent quality on offer. And I love how my girls look in the finished products!
And no, I don't sell on etsy myself. However I urge you all to buy something at some point soon.

Long time no update. It's kind of hard to look back on some of the posts I made here actually because I was in a bad place for a while there. Whether it's been because I've felt healthier or because I've been keeping super busy (two new college courses as well as work, lots of new hobbies) I definitely feel I've moved on from the way things were 6 months ago. I'm bloody grateful I have as well.
Anyway, onto the real point of this post. I intend on updating this blog more often again, however I'd really like it to centre around my hobbies/crafts rather than emo life based stuff, so if you're on my list and that kind of stuff will irk you then you have my blessing to remove me and find me elsewhere on the web.
Let's face it though- it's about time I kept one blog with some direction. I will persist in altering things around a bit and hopefully post something substantial soon.
Peace out! xoxo
Thank you so much! I have a digital SLR and that's pretty much all I work with. It's a Canon... read more
